ABOUT US

Conformal cooling, productised.

Stratum Thermal builds productised conformal thermal covers for power-dense airframes — UAV, eVTOL and humanoid platforms that now move more heat than their original covers were ever designed to handle.

We turn thermal management into a spec sheet. Our configurator lets you specify your platform, thermal load, envelope and weight budget and get a real spec sheet with a confidence band in under ten minutes — no sales runaround, no black box.

The payoff is in the turnaround. Metal-additive routes to a conformal cover are typically slow to build, carry a high development cost before a design is proven, and add weight the airframe then has to carry. Stratum runs through a distributed manufacturing partner network designed to take a spec from order to a flight-ready cover in 10 days — lighter, and without the capital cost of standing up your own additive line. Designed in Sheffield, validated with the people our covers fly with.

THE FOUNDER

CTO - Founder

Mark designed the cover. A development engineer and polymer-additive specialist in the Design and Prototyping Group at the AMRC in Sheffield, he has spent his career pushing what additive manufacturing can actually do. He built Stratum on a conviction drawn from running the AMRC's self-serve additive "banking" system: give engineers the right tools and they find the use-cases themselves.
